Master Scuba Diver

Service Description

This continuing education course is for certified divers who wish to increase their understanding and enjoyment of diving. The course is a progression toward NAUI Leadership roles, and some subject areas are a review and expansion of materials from previous courses. Instructors will specify performance objectives for related courses diving activities and each subject area is a progression in study. This course includes at least 8 total dives, including Navigation, Limited Visibility/Night, Deep (Simulated Decompression Dive), and other elective dives. Knowledge Development will include classroom academics in addition to E-learning. This course covers thorough training in Dive Theory, including but not limited to Gas Management, Dive Planning, and Diving Physiology, Physics, Scuba Equipment, and Environmental and Marine Life subjects. Prerequisites:  Age: Minimum is 15 years  Certification/Experience/Knowledge: o Certification as a NAUI Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver or equivalent is required. o Certification as NAUI Rescue Scuba Diver or equivalent is required. o Recently logged dives and general dive proficiency is required to begin this training. o For participants with no diving activity during a 12-month period, may require the Refresher Scuba course, water skill evaluation, and necessary refresher training in confined water are required before open water activity is permitted.
